Cutout boot comparison New Look VS Missguided

As it is now Autumn I have been searching for a new day boot to replace my Glastonbury stained Dr Martens that I have worn religiously for 2 years. I have been admiring other peoples cut out boot looks but I was a bit worried about the no sock situation. After extensive research I decided to bite the bullet and buy some, couldn't resist! Originally a gorgeous faux croc patent pair with shiny gold buttons caught my eye from Missguided, the lure of next day delivery encouraged me the by the beauties. They are £44.99 on the Missguided website.

Above is a picture of me wearing the Missguided Boots, I have very narrow feet and as you can see they didn't look good. The shoe looked too large and when the buckles were tighten it disturbed the look of the shoe pulling the tongue in. As I liked the shoe I decided to try similar styles in other shops. New Look had a very nice pair for £29.99, the shoe isn't patent like the Missguided variety but the tongue is padded and fitted my foot much better. I decided to buy these and return the Missguided pair as the final decision came down to comfort. Now to brave the cold weather with no socks......... Wish me luck!

MAC Archie's Girls Veronica Satin Lipstick- Daddy's Little Girl

I love lipstick! Even though I have quite the assortment of colours I didn't own a MAC lipstick...... until now. I couldn't resist this Limited Edition Archie's Girls Veronica satin lipstick. The colour attracted me originally, the perfect combination of fuchsia pink and purple, the cute white packing is ideal when you're rummaging around blurry eyed in your black clutch on a night out. The name made me chuckle also, convincing me to buy it, Daddy's Little Girl as I have been known to be called that in past. Having worn quite a few lipstick brands I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of this lipstick. It is long lasting, moisturising and has a lovely smell! I wore it on a night out recently and woke up the next morning with some remains still on my lips, the sign of a good lipstick. Bad news for my pillow though.

Living at home with my parents means that I go food shopping a lot, which I don't really mind as I like any kind of shopping. On one of my recent visits I convinced my mum to purchase this beautiful orchid. The colour was described as Royal Blue. I've never seen a blue orchid before (not that I'm an experienced florist) it was too pretty to leave stood on the shelf!

Soooooooo I'm new to this. My names Beci. I studied fashion design for 3 years in Cardiff, I'm currently living in North Wales. I enjoyed designing and making my own garments, turning my ideas into actual garments. I love fashion and shopping. Some people would probably say I shop too much (...my mum) but I love new trends and experimenting with outfits. So here goes, let the blogging commence!
